2. How do I activate my One Telecom eSIM?
Activation is simple:
- Purchase an eSIM plan from One Telecom.
- Receive your QR code via email or dashboard.
- Scan the QR code with your eSIM-compatible device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.
3. Which devices support eSIM?
Most modern smartphones, tablets, and wearables support eSIM, including:
- iPhone XS and newer
- Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer
- Google Pixel 4 and newer
If you’re unsure, check Settings → About on your device or ask One Telecom support.
4. Can I use an eSIM and a physical SIM at the same time?
Yes. Most eSIM devices support Dual SIM, allowing you to use an eSIM together with a physical SIM. This is ideal for:
- Keeping work and personal numbers separate
- Travelling with an eSIM data plan while keeping your SA SIM active
5. How long does eSIM activation take?
Activation is instant. As soon as you scan the QR code, your profile downloads and your eSIM becomes active.
6. What happens if I lose my phone?
Contact One Telecom support immediately.
We can suspend or transfer your eSIM to a new device after verifying your identity.
7. Can I move my eSIM to a new phone?
Yes. However, because eSIM profiles are device-bound, you must request an eSIM transfer or re-issue from One Telecom.
Your old eSIM will be deactivated for security.
8. Can I use One Telecom eSIMs for international travel?
Yes. We offer global, regional and country-specific eSIM bundles.
You can activate your travel eSIM before you leave and connect instantly on arrival.
9. Will my eSIM work if I factory reset my phone?
In most cases, a factory reset removes the eSIM profile.
If this happens, simply request a replacement eSIM QR code from One Telecom.
10. Is an eSIM more secure than a physical SIM?
Yes. Because eSIMs cannot be physically removed, they reduce SIM-swap risks and help protect your number from theft or cloning.
11. Can I buy multiple eSIMs from One Telecom?
Absolutely. You can install multiple eSIM profiles on a single device (device-dependent).
Only one can be active at a time unless your phone supports multiple active profiles.
12. Do I need an internet connection to activate an eSIM?
Yes. WiFi or mobile data is required to download the eSIM profile after scanning the QR code.
13. What should I do if my eSIM QR code is not scanning?
Try the following:
- Increase screen brightness
- Ensure your internet connection is stable
- Restart your device
If it still fails, contact One Telecom for a re-issued QR code.
14. Can I delete my eSIM profile?
Yes. You can remove the eSIM in your device settings.
However, if you delete it accidentally, you will need a new QR code from One Telecom to reactivate service.
15. Does an eSIM use more battery?
No. eSIMs function the same as physical SIMs and do not increase battery usage.
